Willie, Marcella A.
Willie, Marcella A. age 91 of Newton, NJ passed away peacefully Saturday February 8th, 2014 at her daughters home in Branchville, NJ. Marcella was born and raised in Beemerville and had lived much of her adult life in Newton. Following her retirement from Mack Wayne Plastics in Newton, she lived in Florida for 18 years.
Daughter of the late Robert and Marcella (LaDuc) Bird, she was a 1941 graduate of the Sussex High School. Marcella enjoyed an active social life and was a member of the Ruskin Florida VFW Ladies Auxiliary #6287 for which she volunteered her time for many projects. Ms. Willie was also a member of the Newton Moose Lodge Chapter 1830 Women of the Moose. She also enjoyed dancing, roller skating, the great outdoors as well as spending time with her family.
A loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, Marcella is survived by her daughter Donna L. and her husband Gary Struble of Branchville, her brother Robert and his wife Ann Bird of Knoxville, TN, her grandchildren Sherif and his wife Wendy Karaoglu of Newfoundland Canada, Katie Struble and Lindsey Struble both of Branchville, Nicole Duchscherer and Aaron Duchscherer both of Richmond Hill, GA, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial Services will be held Thursday February 20, 2014 at 8:00 PM in the Iliff Ruggiero Funeral Home, 156 Main Street, Newton, N.J. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the services.
