Thorn, Mary I.
Thorn, Mary I. age 90 of Newton, died Wednesday December 5, 2012 at the Barn Hill Care Center Newton, NJ. Born in Jersey City, NJ she had resided in Surf City, NJ for many years.
Daughter of the late Joseph and Irene (Nolan) Lindsay, Mary was a graduate of the Dickensen High School Jersey City, NJ. Mary had worked many years as a Bookkeeper for the Faberge Corp. of Ridgefield, NJ. A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sibling and friend, Mary will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Mrs. Thorn was pre deceased by her beloved husband William J. in 1995. Survivors include her son William J. and his wife Helene of Blairstown, NJ, his daughters Susan Cristelli of Parsippany and Denise Ehrhart of Suffern, NY. Mary is also survived by her brother Thomas Lindsay of Toms River, NJ as well as her eight grandchildren Patrick, Paul, Allison, Jason, Ryan, Leah, Ashley and Taylor.
Funeral services will be held Saturday December 8th, 2012 at 12:15 PM in the St. Mary’s Cemetery #283 Beachview Ave. Manahawkin, NJ 08050, Visitation will be Friday Dec. 7th 2012 from 7-9 PM in the Iliff-Ruggiero Funeral Home #156 Main St. Newton, NJ 07860.
