Strickler, Bonnie L. age 77 of Newton passed away Sunday June 19, 2022 at Newton Medical Center following a brief illness. Born and raised in Newton, she has resided there most of her life.
Daughter of the late Raymond and Frances Mae (nee Little) Bensley, Bonnie had a long career with the Newton Board of Education until her retirement in 2011. A loving and devoted mother, grand and great grandmother and sister, she will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her. Bonnie loved to travel, especially to Florida, Las Vegas and any trip to a casino.
Ms. Strickler was predeceased by her brothers Dean, Herbert and Roger Bensley and her sisters Patricia Worth, June Boyer and Janey Snyder. She is survived in life by her daughter Maureen Cooper and her partner William Karpack of Rockaway and her son Mark Strickler of Newton. Bonnie is also survived by her grandchildren Raymond and his wife Dara Cooper, Patrick and his wife Catherine Cooper, Brendan and his wife Lauren Cooper as well as her great grandchildren Leah, Bennett and Finnegan Cooper. Also surviving are her brothers Robert and his wife Harriet Bensley of Lafayette, Gary and his wife Jerilyn Bensley of Strasburg, PA and her sister Cathy Bensley of Newton as well as her brothers in law Richard Worth of Newton, Thomas Snyder of Palmerton, PA as well as her three nieces, a nephew and many great nieces and nephews.
