Mrs. Mary Louise Storms, age 64, of Unionville, NY, passed away Sunday afternoon, May 26, 2019, in the Orange Regional Medical Center Middletown, NY. She was born on October 16, 1954, in Unionville, NY. Mary had resided in Unionville NY most of her life and in Newton, NJ for ten years; she had a very special relationship growing up in Unionville with her beloved Aunt Rosie.
Mrs. Storms spent her career for many years at Newton Memorial Hospital, and continued on to the Minisink School District. She enjoyed cooking/baking, scrapbooking, traveling with her daughter, and spending time with family and friends.
Mary was preceded in life by her mother June Cromwell; her son, Donato Boonpradit; her brother, Norman Cutler; her nephew, Matthew Sathuthiti; her grandson David Wygant and granddaughter Meagan Wygant. Survivors include her husband, Bruce Storms of Unionville; one daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Daniel Scrowcroft of Newton; her step-children, Sandra Storms of Bloomberg, and Amy and her husband James Eckerson of Cuddebackville; her sister, Amelia Cuba of Newton; her sister-in-law, Brendan Lassi of Flemington; her grandchildren, Samantha McCole and her fiancée Jennifer Owens of Hatboro, PA, Daniel Scrowcroft II of Newton, Anthony Eckerson, and Emily Eckerson both of Cuddebackville, NY as well as her step father Wilfredo Reyes of Newton and several niece and nephews who all knew her as “Aunt May”. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
Visitation will be held 9 AM to 11 AM Thursday, May 30, 2019 at Iliff-Ruggiero Funeral Home 156 Main St. (Rt. 206) Newton, NJ. Funeral services will begin at 11:00AM with burial services immediately following in Unionville Cemetery in Unionville, NY.
