Sparling, Elizabeth M.
Sparling, Elizabeth M. age 89 a native of Lafayette, NJ passed away peacefully early Saturday morning August 5, 2017 at the Belle Reve Senior Living facility in Milford, PA. Born and raised in Newton, she had lived over sixty years in Lafayette Twp. In her retirement years she had lived in Knoll Heights Sparta before moving to Milford, PA.
Daughter of the late Herbert and E. Viola (Demarest) Brink, Elizabeth was a graduate of the Newton High School class of 1945. A loving and devoted homemaker, she was also a talented and award winning artist. Mrs. Sparling was a former Girl Scout Troop leader for the Newton Area Pioneer Girls where she enjoyed the many camping trips to Camp Samoa, High Point State Park. Most of all, Elizabeth enjoyed spending time with her family.
Pre deceased by her beloved husband Ralph William Sparling in 2012, she is survived by her sons William D. of Lafayette Twp., Barton L. of Branchville, Bradley D. of Bradenton, FL, Bruce A. of Dayville, CT, and her daughter Bonnie M. Jocobus of Glen Spey, NY. Elizabeth is also survived by her eight grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Thursday August 10, 2017 from 11:30 to 1:30 PM followed by Funeral Services at 1:30 PM in the Iliff-Ruggiero Funeral Home #156 Main Street (Rt. 206) Newton, NJ. Entombment will immediately follow in the Newton Cemetery Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers memorials in Elizabeth’s memory may be made to a favorite charity of choice.
