Slivinski, Cheryl C. age 66 of Murrells Inlet, SC died peacefully Wednesday September 7th, 2011 at her home in South Carolina with her loving family by her side following a brief illness.
Born in Paterson, NJ she had resided in Frankford Twp., NJ for thirty two years before moving to South Carolina in 2006. Cheryl had worked many years with trainable mentally handicapped children before starting her career as a Secretary for the Frankford Twp. Elementary School.
Mrs. Slivinski loved working with children, and her patience and compassion for children with disabilities were endless. She touched many with her kindness and caring. Cheryl was actively involved with the daily business of her daughters dance studio in Lafayette Village as well as keeping up with her grandchildren athletics schedules and activities. In addition to spending as much time as possible with her family, she also enjoyed collecting “Snow Baby” figurines.
Survivors include her beloved husband of forty six years David C., her daughter Kim and her husband Rob Falvey of Murrells Inlet, SC, her son David of Frankford Twp., NJ, her adoring Grandchildren Drew, Timothy, Alexa and Tyler Falvey all of Murrells Inlet, SC. Also surviving are her sister Julie Shurdom of Florida and her brother Steven Lukascewicz of Pennsylvania.
Memorial Funeral Services will be held Tuesday September 13, 2011 at 4:00 PM in the Iliff-Ruggiero Funeral Home, 156 Main Street, (Route 206) Newton, NJ 07860. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 2 to 4PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Franki’s Fund in memory of Francesca Slivinski C/O DAWNcil #30 Broad St. Suite 5 Denville, NJ 07834.
