Schrank, Mildred Lucille
Schrank, Mildred Lucille, age 95 of Lancaster, PA passed away peacefully Monday February 13, 2017 in the Glen at Willow Valley Lancaster, PA. Born Sept. 2, 1921 in Fort Lee, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Alfred B. and Helen (Kersting) Higdon.
Mildred grew up in Englewood, NJ and had lived many years in Woodcliff Lakes, and Newton NJ before moving to Pennsylvania many years ago. She had worked as a secretary and administrative assistant for several companies throughout her career. A former member of the First Baptist Church Cliffside Park, NJ as well as the Lafayette Federated Church, she was pre deceased by her brothers Robert and Raymond Higdon.
Mildred is survived by her husband Helmut “Hal” Ernst Schrank. Also surviving are her siblings Shirley Volkema of TN, Carol and her husband Bob Stenlake of CT, Many nieces and nephews as well as Hal’s children; Arthur and his wife Bonnie Schrank of Freeland, MD, Janet and her husband Michael Gress of Ft. Collins, CO and Linda and her husband Peter Olson of Spofford, NH as well as their children and grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday February 21, 2017 at 12:00 PM in the Iliff-Ruggiero Funeral Home #156 Main St. Newton, NJ. Interment will follow in the Branchville Cemetery. Friends may call at the Funeral Home Tuesday 11:30 AM just prior to the funeral.
