Jason Alexander Rose, age 35, of Pompton Lakes died unexpectedly on Friday, March 1st, 2013. Jason was born in Hudson County and raised in Sussex County. He resided in many places before settling in Pompton Lakes, NJ.

The loving son of Maggie Rose of Dingmans Ferry, PA, he was predeceased by his maternal grandmother Margaret Stager and his Uncle Edward Stager. Jason is survived by his maternal grandfather, George Stager of Moonachie,NJ his paternal grandmother, Harriet Rose of Delaware, also his paternal grandfather Fred Rose Sr. He leaves behind his brother Scott Rose of Ridgefield Park, his daughters; Veronica Rose of Belvidere and Brooke Rose of Knoxville, TN as well as his best friend, Josh Creekmur of Alpha, NJ. He is the beloved nephew of Diane and Noel Cote of Ridgefield Park, NJ, Barbara and Rafael Guillen of Prescott Valley, AZ, George and Sue Stager of Orange City, FL, Diane Rose of Walnut Creek, California, Joy and Fred Bohn of Delaware, and Wayne Rose of Brooklyn, NY. He also leaves behind many cousins and friends.

Jason was a unique individual. If you just met him he would engage you in a conversation and within 5 minutes you would feel as though you knew him for years. He was an avid fan and collector of the Star Wars movies. He was learning to speak French and also was interested in photography. He was a gentle soul with a great sense of humor and he will be sorely missed by many.

A Memorial Visitation will be held Saturday, March 23, 2013 from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the Iliff-Ruggiero Funeral Home, Newton, NJ. In lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions in Jay’s memory may be made to the National Alliance of Mental Illness.
