
Pavlak, Stanley L. Sr.
Pavlak, Sr. Stanley L. of Fredon, N.J. died after a long illness Friday March 11, 2016 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Born in Jersey City, N.J., he lived most of his life in Hampton Twp. for 21 years, Sparta for 12 years, then Fredon for the past 14 years.
Mr. Pavlak was in the food industry all of his life, working for Gregory Marketing Corp. of Englewood Cliffs, N.J. as an associate and vice president. He served as Eastern regional sales manager for International Multifoods, and was a buyer for the Wakefern Food Corp. Mr. Pavlak was also President / Owner of Pavlak Marketing Food Broker located in Montville, N.J. before his retirement in 1998. Stanley was an Army Veteran of the Korean and Viet Nam war, he was a Sergeant first class in charge of supplies for the 101st he was a helicopter squadron leader crew chief left-side gunner; He was an expert in carbine and rifle. Mr. Pavlak was also a martial arts instructor in Viet Nam. Stanley was a long time member of the Newton Country Club, a N.J. Knight of the Grip where he served as past president. He was one of the founding member of the SCARC golf outing committee. He was a member of the Wakefern Fellowship, he served many years at the Hampton Twp. Planning Board as a community member. He coached High Point Midget Football League, and coached the Kittatinny Midget Football League. He was a founding member of the Bear Brook home owners association, where he served as past president and the Moorings Condo Association also serving as past president. He was a coach with the Hampton Little League. He also possessed a Black Belt in Karate, Stanley was a board member of Deborah Hospital, and served as Chairman of the Hampton Twp. Industrial committee. Stanley is survived by his loving wife Patricia J. (Homlish) Pavlak of 52 years. His mother Irene C. Pavlak who is 105 years old of Ormond Beach, FL. Son, Stanley L. Pavlak Jr. and wife Danielle, of Fredon, N.J. Daughter, Denise R. Georges and her husband Michael of Fredon, NJ. Stanley is also survived by sisters, Basia (Barbara) Kirschner, and husband Everett, and Diana (Nushie) Jodoin, and one cherished granddaughter Juliet L. Georges.
Funeral services will commence Tuesday March 14, 2016 8:45 am from the funeral home with a 10:00 am mass of Christian burial at Good Shepherd RC Church, Andover, N.J. Internment immediately following in the Good Shepherd RC Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday March 14, 2016 at the funeral home from 2-4 & 7-9. Family requests memorial donations be made to the Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice or a Veterans charity of your choice.
