Ott, Sarah Ingram “Sindy”

Ott, Sarah “Sindy” Ingram died Tuesday April 9, 2013 at Newton Memorial Hospital in Newton, NJ following a brief illness. She was born on December 1, 1954 in Laurinburg, NC, but was raised in Atlanta and had been living in Smyrna, GA. Daughter of the late Hal B. Ingram and Emma Lee (Sinclair) Ingram, Sindy was a graduate of the Lakeside High School class of 1973. She later graduated with honors from the University of Florida in 1977 receiving her BA degree in education.

Sindy had a passion for children and used her degree to become a schoolteacher. She later joined her father in working for the Four Seasons travel agency. Ms. Ott dedicated her life to raising her children; she was a beautiful, smart woman well known for her sweet and caring nature.

Survivors include her children Stephen Louis Ott, Jr. and Julia McManmon Ott, as well as her mother Emma “Kit” Ingram, her brother Michael and sister Melissa. A celebration of life service will be held Saturday April 27, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the First Presbyterian Church of Hilton Head Island 540 William Hilton Parkway Hilton Head, SC 29928.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Iliff-Ruggiero Funeral Home 156 Main St (Rt. 206) Newton, NJ 07860. In lieu of flowers, Memorials in Sarah’s memory can be made to American Cancer Society www.cancer.org
