
Negri, Frank D. Sr.
Negri, Frank D. Sr. age 57 of Lafayette, NJ died unexpectedly Friday April 26, 2013 in the Newton Medical Center. Born in Denville, NJ Frank grew up in Dover and had lived many years in Randolph before moving to Lafayette Twp. in 1982. A graduate of the Randolph High School class of 1973, Frank was a hard working, dedicated restaurateur. He was the owner operator of the Newton and Wantage Friendly’s Restaurants as well as Papa-Ronis Family Restaurant in Sparta.
A loving and devoted husband, father, son, brother and family man, Frank enjoyed spending time with his family and especially being a creative cook. Frank enjoyed traveling, especially to the beaches of Wildwood Crest, NJ and the Caribbean. He also enjoyed exercising in the Gym, but most of all he thrived on running his restaurants. Frank was pre deceased by his mother Marion (Nixon) Negri. Survivors include his beloved wife of thirty four years Mary Jean (Bartek) Negri, his sons Frank Jr., Matthew, and Brandon as well as his daughter, Anastasia Marie Negri all of Lafayette. Also surviving are father Anthony Sr. of Orange Park, FL, his brothers Anthony Jr. of Macon, GA and Jack of Augusta, his sister Diana Rudio of Newton, Mary Atkinson of Jarrettsville, MD and Eileen Gedicke of Hayes, VA as well as his many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday April 30, 2013 at 10:00 AM in the Our Lady Queen of Peace Roman Catholic Church Rt. 206 Branchville, NJ. Visitation will be held Monday April 29th, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM in the Iliff-Ruggiero Funeral Home #156 Main St. (Rt. 206) Newton, NJ. In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to either the Alzheimer’s Association www.alz.org or the Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic research www.lustgarten.org
