Lida, Lawrence J.
Lida, Lawrence John, age 70 Formerly of Forest Lakes Andover, died Friday June 15th, 2012 in the Forest Manor Health Care Facility in Hope, NJ. Born in Paterson, NJ he lived most of his life in the Forest Lakes Section of Andover Twp.
Son of the late Stanley and Jennie Lida, Lawrence served in the US Army during Vietnam. After the War he began his career as a Chef and had worked many years for the former Llewellyn Farms Restaurant in Morris Plains, NJ. A long time parishioner of the Good Shepherd Roman Catholic Church, Lawrence passion was cooking especially for a house full of family and friends.
Lawrence also enjoyed swimming across Forest Lake especially after a long hot days work in the kitchen. In addition he enjoyed the ocean, fast cars and landscaping.
A loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and sibling, Lawrence was pre deceased by his loving wife Patricia Mae.
Survivors include his son Michael L., and Shannon Parr, his daughters Jacqueline Lida, Jennifer M. and Carmen V. Dolise, and Justine A. and David Vitullo. Also surviving are his seven grandchildren Christie Lida, Leah and Jessica Vitullo, Mychal and Marc Jensen-Lida and Vincent and Anthony Dolise, as well as his sister Marci and Wayne Grosseibl.
Graveside Funeral Services will be held Saturday June 30, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the Andover Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Iliff-Ruggiero Funeral Home #156 Main St. (Rt. 206) Newton, NJ.
