Lee-Meehan, Janet age 73 of Milford, PA passed away peacefully Thursday August 31, 2017 at the Belle Reve Senior Living home in Milford, PA. Daughter of the late William and Ann Mabie, born and raised in Wayne NJ, she lived a great American life in various NJ towns including Cape May and Newton. Janet spent her retirement years in Honesdale P.A. where she enjoyed a relaxed lifestyle with great friends.
Janet is remembered primarily as a loving mother, grandmother and God mother. She was a dedicated worker at Dolan & Dolan law firm for 20 years. She was a master at entertainment and cooking; she absolutely loved to host celebrations with friends and family at her various homes over the years. She had a deep fondness for the ocean, quiet lakes and country waterscapes which is apparent in her personal artwork and paintings for which Janet’s family and friends enjoy to this day.
Survivors include her beloved son Robert Christopher and her cherished granddaughters Devan and Paige, all of Newton, NJ. The family sincerely thanks the staff at Compassionate Care Hospice and Belle Reve.
A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday September 23 at 10 AM in the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church #24 Halsted St. Newton, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Janet’s name may be made to Family Promise of Sussex County at 19 Church Street, Newton, NJ 07860. www.familypromisesussex.com/donate.
