Krumm, Arvid age 78 of Fredon Twp., NJ passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family and friends Friday December 15, 2017 at the Karen Ann Quinlan Home for Hospice Fredon Twp. Born in Brooklyn, NY he grew up in Glen Rock, NJ and had lived many years in Midland Park before moving to Fredon Twp. in 2000.

Son of the late Leonhard and Solveg (nee Loddesol) Krumm, Arvid proudly served in the United States Army following the Korean War. A graduate of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, He earned his Commercial Rating as a Pilot as well as Associate of Technology in Aircraft Maintenance Management. Mr. Krumm retired from Franklin Environmental Services. Mr. Krumm was a member of the Fredon Twp. Volunteer Fire Dept. as well as a participant in the US Forest Stewardship Service, enthusiastically utilizing his own property to provide and protect a clean and natural Sussex County. Arvid loved flying and boating.

Survivors include his beloved wife of forty-five years Joyce (nee Dichiarante) Krumm, his brother Inky and his wife Mary Krumm of Lake Hopatcong and his sister in law Jennifer and her husband Victor Scuralli of Fredon Twp. Also surviving are his nieces and nephews Victor, Vincent and Daniel Scuralli, Joyce Straway, Timothy and Steven Krumm as well as his grand nieces and nephews Rachel Smith, Benjamin, Riley, Melainia, Logan, Mason, Alexa and Ryan Scuralli, Megan and Emily Krumm.

A Memorial Funeral Mass at the Christ Episcopal Church Newton, NJ will be held Saturday January 13, 2018 at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers memorials in Arvid’s memory may be made to the Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice #99 Sparta Ave. Newton or www.karenannquinlanhospice.org.
