Kenneth J. McCollum, Jr.
Kenneth J. McCollum, Jr. – age 40 of Newton, N.J. passed away surrounded by family at St. Josephs Medical Center, Paterson, N.J. Sunday March 8, 2020. Born and raised in Newton, N.J., Kenneth was employed locally as an iron / metal worker, and had attended Newton Elementary and High Schools.
Kenneth was known to enjoy sports – good at baseball, basketball and a huge N.Y. Giants fan. Family and friends recall Kenneth as an avid skate boarder when he was younger. Family and loving friends recall and will remember “that smile and laugh”.
The son of Kenneth J. McCollum, Sr. and Debra Waldron, Kenneth is survived by his companion Melissa Henderson. Also survived by a daughter Harper Genevieve Henderson. Brothers and sisters include “Jackie” Rachel Waldron, Kristine VanNiewland, Teresa McMickle, Michael Mahler, Jamie Ebert and Adam McCollum.
A celebration of life for Kenneth will take place Friday March 13, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. at the American Legion (Post 86) 20 Yates Ave. Newton, N.J. 07860
