Jones, Nancy L.
Jones, Nancy L. age 77 of Newton, NJ passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family Tuesday August 23, 2022 following a long illness. Born in Newton, she grew up and had lived most of her life in Johnsonburg before moving to Newton eight years ago.
Daughter of the late Harry and Ethel (nee DeGroat) Powers, Nancy had a long career as a Certified Nurses Aid retiring from Barn Hill Care Center. An avid gardener, she enjoyed her many flowers and making her yard a friendly place for wildlife. A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister, Nancy will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Ms. Jones was predeceased by her husband Frederick James Jones in 1993 as well as her sisters Joyce Huttick, Betty Kessler and Shirley Powers. Survivors include her daughters Darlene and her husband Walter Current, Dawn Cassimore and Donna Brady and her son Daryl Michael. Also surviving are her fourteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and her sister Barbara Brady.
