Ireland, Bessie age 100 of the Augusta section of Frankford Twp., NJ passed away peacefully on Saturday April 7, 2018 at the Barn Hill Care Center Newton, NJ. Born and raised in England, she came to the United States in 1952 and had lived many years in Toms River, NJ before moving to Augusta in 2017.

Daughter of the late Arthur Edward and Ethel Ellen (nee Endersby) Burrows, Bessie had served in the Royal Air Force during WWII as a Wireless Radio Operator. It was during the War where she met and married her husband the late Henry Ireland (1990) who also served in the RAF as a Glider Pilot.

A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and homemaker, Bessie was pre deceased by her sisters Elizabeth Bradsch and Grace Day.

Survivors include her son Robert and his wife Julianne Ireland of Augusta, her daughters Rosemary Ireland and Valerie and her husband Clive Beech all of Plymouth, England, her grandchildren Brian, Jeff, Dave Ireland, Leslie, Neil Beech, Karen Alvey, Michelle and Nicola Beech as well as her six great grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements under the direction of Iliff-Ruggiero Funeral Home #156 Main St. (Rt. 206) Newton, NJ are private and at the convenience of the family.
