Hunter, Francis “Frank” D., age 57 of Lafayette Twp., NJ, died peacefully at home with his loving family by his side on Friday evening, October 4th, 2013. Born in Levittown, Long Island, New York, he had lived in Blairstown and the Lake Owassa section of Frankford Twp. for many years before moving to Lafayette Twp. in 2001.

Son of the late Edward William and Elizabeth (née Downey) Hunter, Frank was a graduate of Levittown High School, class of 1972. He attended Paul Smith College in Saranac Lake, NY, and later graduated from West Virginia University in 1976, receiving his Bachelors of Science degree in Forestry. A photogrammetrist by profession, he was the owner and president of Atlantis Aerial Survey Co., Inc. in Budd Lake, NJ.

​An active and devout member of the Yellow Frame Presbyterian Church in Fredon Twp., NJ, Frank had served as a Church Elder and was a member of a Saturday morning men’s bible study group in Franklin, NJ. Mr. Hunter was a proud and avid Harley Davidson motorcyclist and enjoyed riding his Electra Glide Classic. A member and former Vice President of the Christian Motorcycle Association, Newton Chapter, he was also a member of the Rolling Iron Riding Club in Flanders, NJ. A skilled craftsman and woodworker, Frank also enjoyed fishing.

​Survivors include his beloved wife of twelve years Joan M. Hunter (née Ward) and his son Ryan E. Hunter of Lafayette Twp., his daughter Kelly H. and her husband John Mauger of Rockaway Twp., and his daughter Tracy E. Hunter of Wantage Twp. Also surviving are his brother John and his wife Allison Hunter of Pulaski, VA; his sister Carol and her husband Wayne Driskill of Rustburg, VA; his sister Evelyn and her husband Hugh Honeycutt of Denton, NC; and his many nieces and nephews.

​Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 8th, 2013 at 10:00 AM in Yellow Frame Presbyterian Church, 1 Yellow Frame Rd. (Rt. 94), Fredon Twp., NJ. Interment will immediately follow in the Good Shepherd Cemetery, Airport Rd. Andover, NJ. Visitation will be held Monday, October 7th, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM in the Iliff-Ruggiero Funeral Home, 156 Main St (Rt. 206), Newton, NJ, 07860.
