Hoesle, Frederick age 88 of Frankford Twp., died peacefully Thursday January 31, 2013 in Frankford Twp., NJ. Born in Ozone Park Long Island, NY he had resided in Allamuchy and Frankford Twp. NJ for many years. Son of the late Fred and Margaret (Garvey) Hoesle, Frederick was a graduate of the New York State Maritime Academy Ft. Schuyler, NY 1943. He served in the US Merchant Marines as a Lt. Commander during WWII and most notably at the invasion of Normandy.
Mr. Hoesle was the Vice President of Claims for the Medical Malpractice Insurance Co. of America in New York, NY for many years until his retirement in 1991. A loving and dedicated husband, father, grandfather, sibling and friend.He was an avid sailor and loved his sail boat, the Polaris, and enjoyed sailing many weekends with his wife Dorothy and family off of the Jersey shore. He was also a wood craftsman spending many hours creating numerous articles of furniture for the family. Fred and Dorothy enjoyed many summers in their Cape Cod home and winters in their Florida home.
Other activities that Frederick and his wife Dorothy enjoyed were ice skating, hiking and cross country skiing. Fred will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Their funeral service will be held at the Veteran Cemetery on their 64th wedding anniversary.A former parishioner of the Good Shepherd Roman Catholic Church Andover Twp., NJ, Frederick was recently pre deceased by his beloved wife Dorothy (Fagan) Hoesle on January 18, 2013. Survivors include his Son Frederick J., of Allamuchy, his daughters Dianne L. Van Volkenburgh of Branchville, Denise A. Lepes of Frankford Twp. and Darlene G. Hoesle Tallamy of Branchville, NJ. Also surviving are his four grandchildren Jason, Jayne, Chad and Stacey.
Graveside Funeral Services for both Frederick and Dorothy will be held Tuesday February 5, 2013 at 1:30 PM in the Brigadier General William Doyle Veterans Cemetery Wrightstown, NJ. Arrangements are under the direction of the Iliff-Ruggiero Funeral Home #156 Main St. (Rt. 206) Newton, NJ.
