Guido, Joseph J.
Guido, Joseph J. age 80 of College Point, NY died peacefully Sunday November 29, 2015 at the Newton Medical Center following a long illness. Born in New York City, he had lived most of his life in Queens, NY.
Son of the late Donato and Mary (Splendora) Guido, Joseph had a long career as IT Director for Grey Advertising New York, NY. An avid golfer, he also enjoyed old movies and playing Bocci with his brother in law the late Frank Grosso. Most of all he enjoyed a good meal, glass of wine, sipping Sambuca and listening to Frank Sinatra sing.
Joseph was pre deceased by his brother Matthew Guido, a sister Frances Sigliano as well as a cherished grandson Adam Zerner. Survivors include his wife Laura (Leone), his daughters Laura Politi and Lisa Zerner both of Newton, his sons Daniel of Flemington and Joseph of Medford as well as his cherished grandchildren Samantha, Matthew, Liz, Joey and Gianna. Also surviving are his sisters Virginia Grasso and Ann Incognito.
A funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday December 5, 2015 at 9:30 AM in the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church Halstead St. Newton, NJ. Entombment will immediately follow in the Newton Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation will be held Saturday morning from 8 to 9 AM in the Iliff-Ruggiero Funeral Home 156 Main St. (Rt. 206) Newton, New Jersey.
