Green, Edward H.
Edward H Green, age 76 of Lafayette Twp., passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2017, at Morristown Medical Center. Eddy was born in Vernon, NJ on July 21, 1941. He grew up in Butler, NJ and graduated from Butler H.S. in 1959.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling with his family, trips to Atlantic City, telling his grandchildren jokes and sharing with them tales of his childhood exploits.
He worked at Schiffli Embroidery – which later became August Fabrics – for 49 years until they closed their doors. He was the rare person who loved his job.
He was predeceased by a son Daryl, his parents, Clarence E. Green and Elizabeth J. Lott Green; Sisters Dorothy McCann, Arthine Greensway, Lillian Marach and Leona Green; and brother, Miles Green. Eddy is survived by his wife of 54 years, Joan L. Belcher Green; his loving sons, Michael T. and his wife Kathy, and Mark E. and his wife Josey; his daughter, Monica J. Green and her partner Bill Spagnolo; his precious grandchildren, Arwen I. and Luke E. Green; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Eddy was loved by all who knew him and will be forever missed.
Funeral services will be held Monday September 18, 2017 at 10 AM in the Iliff-Ruggiero Funeral Home #156 Main St. (Rt. 206) Newton, NJ. Interment will follow in the Glenwood Cemetery Vernon Twp., NJ. Visitation will be at the funeral home Sunday Sept. 17th from 3-6:30 PM.
