Grah, Thomas H. age 75 of Hampton Twp., NJ passed away Thursday January 16, 2020 at the St. Clare’s Hospital Denville, NJ following a long illness. Born in Newark, NJ he grew up and lived many years in Livingston. Thomas had also lived in Parsippany and the Lake Shawnee Section of Jefferson Township before moving to Hampton Township forty-two years ago.
Son of the late William and Caroline (nee Schaad) Grah, Thomas was a graduate of the Livingston High School class of 1962. He proudly served in the US Army as a PFC E-3 from 1964 to 1966. Thomas was stationed in Hawaii before his deployment to Vietnam. Thomas specialty training in the military was marksmanship, a passion for which he maintained all his life. Mr. Grah was an active member of the Livingston American Legion Post #201.
Thomas had worked as a Draftsman with Mepco in Morristown, NJ where he met his future wife Theresa. A loving and devoted family man, Mr. Grah enjoyed spending time with his family as well as their many family vacations and travels. Thomas was a dedicated animal lover and through the years had many family pets.
Pre deceased by his sister Carol McClellan he is survived by his beloved wife of fifty-two years Theresa (nee Korkes) Grah, his loving daughters Michelle Grah of Newton and Marie Grah of Stillwater Twp. Also surviving are his granddaughter Katlyn Begraft as well as his siter Nancy McClellan of Chatham.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Iliff-Ruggiero Funeral Home #156 Main St. (Rt. 206) Newton, NJ. A Memorial visitation in the Funeral Home will be held Sunday February 2, 2020 from 2:00-3:30 PM with memorial and military services beginning at 3:30 PM.
