Godfrey, Bryant K. age 53 of Swartswood, NJ died Tuesday May 15th, 2012 at the Morristown Memorial Hospital following a long illness. Born in Denville, NJ he grew up and had lived many years in Lafayette Twp, and has lived in Swartswood for many years.
Bryant was a hard working computer expert, and had worked for BASF Corp. of Florham Park, NJ since 1999 as a Senior Information Services Specialist. An avid Fisherman, Bryant was also a diehard New York Yankees and Giants fan. A loving and devoted family man, he enjoyed spending as much time as possible with his family, holidays as well as the many vacations to the Jersey Shore. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him as well as being remembered as “Our Champion”.
Mr. Godfrey was pre deceased by his brother Ed in 1996, his mother Judith A. (Schleer) Godfrey and his sister Lisa Godfrey in 1999. Survivors include his beloved wife Zahydie L. (Soto) Godfrey. They were married October 2011 and enjoyed their honeymoon in St. Lucia. Also surviving are his daughter Megan Godfrey, his son Christopher Godfrey, his father Leon B. Godfrey, his sister Leeann Godfrey, his brother Leon D. Godfrey as well as his two grandchildren Sophia and Aiden and his beloved dog Bella.
Memorial visitation will be held Friday May 18th, 2012 from 5PM to 7PM immediately followed by memorial services at 7PM in the Iliff-Ruggiero Funeral Home 156 Main St. (Rt. 206) Newton, NJ. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to either the American Cancer Society www.cancer.org or the American Diabetes Association www.diabetes.org.
