Fritts, Esther Louise, age 79 of Rockaway, NJ passed away peacefully Wednesday March 8, 2017 at the JFK Medical Center Hospice Unit Edison, NJ following a long illness. Born in Reading, PA, She had lived many years in Shamokin Dam, PA. Daughter of the late Emerson D. and Esther (Pealer) Laubach Sr., Esther had been long time member of the Trinity Lutheran Church Dover, NJ.
Mrs. Fritts served as a volunteer for St. Clares Hospital Denville for many years. A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister, she spent countless hours carpooling her kids sports and activities as well as serving as a timekeeper for the White Meadow Lake Swim Team. Esther enjoyed her thirty years working in the office of Eye Associates of North Jersey, often referring to them as her second family.
Esther was pre deceased by her beloved husband Harry L. Jr. in 1992 and her daughter Nanette L. Fritts in 1985. Survivors include her sons Jonathan of Los Angeles, CA and Andrew and his wife Susan of Madison, WI, her daughter Susanne L. (Fritts) D’Aiuto and her Fiancé Brian Harrell. Also surviving are her brother Emerson D. Laubach Jr., her sister Ruth Ann and her husband William Focht, her grandchildren Addison and Aidan Fritts, Tara and her husband Joseph Machos, Bryan and his wife Sandy Weingarten, Gregory and his significant other Maggie Torres, Nicolette and Christie D’Aiuto and her fiancé Brandon Herkalo, as well as her great grandchildren Bryan Jr., Kaylee and Danica Weingarten.
Memorial services will be held Monday March 13, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the Smith-Taylor-Ruggiero Funeral Home One Baker Ave. (Rte. 46) Dover, N.J. Memorial Visitation will be held at the funeral home Sunday March 12, 2017 from 4 to 7 PM. The Fritts family would like to express a special thank you to Heartfelt Home Care of Denville for all the wonderful care they provided Louise over the last fifteen months.
