Eichhorn, Helene E.
Eichhorn, Helene E. age 91 of Knowlton Twp., NJ passed away peacefully Thursday June 23, 2022 at Karen Ann Quinlan Home for Hospice Fredon, Twp., NJ. Born and raised in Newark, NJ she had lived in Augusta, GA, Eatontown and Lincoln Park, NJ before moving to Knowlton Twp. in 2016.
Daughter of the late Vincenzo and Philomina Luongo, Helene graduated Central High School Newark, NJ and went on to work as a secretary for many years with Astro Systems Corporation. Later in life she became a Real Estate Broker and worked with various agencies in Northern NJ.
Helene was very talented at Arts and Crafts, regularly attending shows and marketing her work. She enjoyed singing and shared her talents with her sisters by entertaining at Veterans Hospitals. She enjoyed a good crossword puzzle or any mind teasing game as well as reading and poetry but most importantly was her love for her family. A loving and devoted wife, sister and aunt, she will be missed by her loving family and her many friends.
Mrs. Eichhorn was predeceased by her sisters Rose Testa, Gracie D’Orsi, Maria Chiarello and Brigida Netta as well as her brothers John, Genaro, Amiel and Joseph Luongo. Survivors include her beloved husband of seventy-two years Maurice E. Eichhorn as well as her many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Entombment will be celebrated Wednesday June 29, 2022 at 1130 AM in the Saint Jude Roman Catholic Church #7 Eisenhower Road Columbia, NJ 07832. Entombment will follow in the Gate of Heaven Roamn Catholic Cemetery #224 Ridgedale Ave East Hanover, NJ. Friends may call for visitation Tuesday June 28, 2022 from 3-6 PM in the Iliff-Ruggiero Funeral Home, #156 Main Street (Rt 206) Newton, NJ 07860.
