Davenport, Richard E. age 62 of Hardyston Twp., NJ passed away Monday September 11, 2017 at the Morristown Medical Center. Born in Franklin Borough, Richard had lived most of his life in Hardyston Twp.
Son of the late Charles Albert and Irene May (Cahill) Davenport, Richard was a hardworking and self-employed Mason throughout the area. An avid fisherman and hunter, he also enjoyed working on automobiles as a hobby, but mostly spending time with his family.
Pre deceased by a son Daniel Davenport in 1993 and a brother Ronald Davenport in 1999, Richard is survived by his wife Dawn M. (Vanwhy) Davenport, his daughter Elizabeth Davenport as well as his six sons Richard Dekmar, Charles, Michael, William, Matthew and Ronald Davenport. Also surviving are his twenty grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday evening September 15, 2017 at 8:30 PM in the Iliff-Ruggiero Funeral Home #156 Main St. (Rt. 206) Newton, NJ.
