Daingerfield, Bruce E. age 68 of Stillwater Twp., NJ died peacefully with his loving family at his side at his home Thursday March 28th, 2013 following a long illness. Born in Dover, NJ he was raised in Denville and has lived in the Crandon Lakes section of Stillwater Twp. for many years.

Son of the late Edward and Marie (Reger) Daingerfield, Bruce was a graduate of the Parsippany High School class of 1963. A loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and sibling, he had worked many years in the Banking Profession. Through his career Bruce had worked as a Mortgage Officer for the former Newton Savings Bank and more recently for the GSL Savings Bank Guttenberg as a Branch Manager prior to his retirement in 2005.

Mr. Daingerfield was an active member of the Harmony Hill United Methodist Church for over thirty two years, also serving as Treasurer, Trustee, the Chair of the Administrative Council as well as the Chair of the Memorial Committee. His civic and community service was endless, serving as Chair of the Stillwater Twp. Planning Board, Committeeman as well as serving on the Recreation Committee and volunteering as soccer and Baseball Coach. Bruce was also the Chair of the Crandon Lakes Road Committee.

A past President and Paul Harris Fellow with the Hampton Twp. Rotary Club, Bruce has been active for the past twenty eight years. He had served in all officer positions and has given countless hours of his time to the Rotary Club and its charitable efforts. A long standing volunteer, Bruce gave much of his time to the Sussex County Food Pantry, the Karen Ann Quinlan Center of Hope Hospice, the Fairview Lake YMCA Camps and Conference Center as well as the Sussex County YMCA.

Pre deceased by his siblings, Janice Wiedman, Edward, Robert, Craig and Henry Daingerfield, Bruce is survived by his beloved wife of forty two years Ellie. Also surviving are his loving son Jason and his wife Jill of Newton, as well as his cherished grandchildren Maeve and Morgan Daingerfield.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday April 2th, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the Harmony Hill United Methodist Church 919 Fairview Lake Road Stillwater Twp., NJ. Visitation will be held Monday April 1, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM in the Iliff-Ruggiero Funeral home 156 Main St (Rt. 206) Newton, NJ 07860. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Karen Ann Quinlan Center of Hope Hospice #99 Sparta Ave Newton, NJ, the Harmony Hill United Methodist Church or the Sussex County Food Pantry (973)383-3600 or www.foodpantries.org
