Czarkowski, Geraldine P. age 58 of Frankford Twp., NJ passed away Friday evening January 5, 2018 at her home peacefully surrounded by her loving family following a long and courageous battle with cancer. Born and raised in Bebington Cheshire, England, she had also lived many years in Dublin, Ireland before moving to Morristown, NJ in 1990. In 1997 Geraldine settled in Frankford Twp. to raise her family.

A graduate of the London Montessori School in Dublin, Ireland, she also earned her degree in Special Education from Sussex County Community College in 2008. Geraldine had a rewarding career with the Sussex County Charter School for Technology as a Teachers Aid and a Permanent Substitute Teacher.

A loving and devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend of many, Geraldine was a dedicated member of the Frankford-Hampton-Lafayette Moms Club. She was a proud fan of the Liverpool Football Club and who enjoyed many activities notably knitting, having long conversations, and eating “real food, not rubbish.” A long time and devout parishioner of the Our Lady Queen of Peace Roman Catholic Church Branchville, Geraldine’s love, loyalty and selflessness will truly be missed by all who knew her. Geraldine would want you spend time with your children, do things with your loved ones, and make a toast to enduring friendships lifelong and beyond. She would want everyone to keep a positive attitude alive in their hearts, be brave, and when things get rough, remember that “such is life, and say yes and keep going.” That is what Geraldine would wish for you.

Mrs. Czarkowski was pre deceased in life by her father Joseph Poole in 2012 and a sister-in-law Rebecca Poole in 2010. Survivors include her beloved husband of twenty years Steven F. Czarkowski, her cherished daughter Aileen P. Czarkowski of Frankford Twp., and her mother Patricia A. (nee O’Connor) Poole of Dublin, Ireland. Also surviving are her sisters Nicola M. Harris of Cairo, Egypt and Ann T. and her husband John Quinn of Dublin, Ireland, her brother Damian J. Poole of Dublin as well as many nieces and nephews.

A Christian Funeral Mass will be Wednesday January 10, 2017 at 11 AM in the Our Lady Queen of Peace Roman Catholic Church 209 Rt. 206 Branchville, NJ. Private Cremation services will follow. Visitation will be held Tuesday January 9th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM in the Iliff-Ruggiero Funeral Home #156 Main St. (Rt. 206) Newton, NJ. In lieu of flowers memorials in Geraldine’s memory may be made to either the Our Lady Queen of Peace RC Church or Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice
