Coss, Roger D. age 81 of Lafayette Twp., NJ passed away peacefully at home Tuesday Morning March 31, 2020 following a long illness. Born and raised in Dover, NJ he grew up there and has lived in Lafayette for many years.
Son of the late James and Mary (Swayze) Torchio, Roger was a graduate of the Dover High School class of 1957. An avid Race Car enthusiast, Roger started over twenty-five years ago with his son in Go Carts and Asphalt Modified. Over the many years, Roger has served in every aspect of racing including Crew Chief. Roger was also a member of the East Dover Social Club for many years.
The Owner Operator of Roger Coss Auto Body Repair Dover, NJ for many years, currently the business is still being operated by the family. A loving and dedicated husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, Roger will truly be missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his beloved wife of thirty-five years Susan M. (nee Rich), his son Roger W. and his wife Chloe of Lafayette, his daughters Erin Coss also of Lafayette, Candace and her husband Marc Spizzirri of San Clemente, CA, Lynn and her husband Robert Petsch of El Cajon, CA and Amber and her husband Lee Gelwick of Carthage, MO. Also surviving are his eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren with another on the way.
