Cormier, Ronald J. age 73 of Byram Twp., NJ died Friday June 8, 2012 at the Morristown Memorial Hospital. Born in Bangor Maine, Ronald grew up there and had lived in Brooklyn, NY for many years before moving to ByramTwp. in 1968.

A graduate of the Bangor Maine High School class of 1958, Ronald had served in the US Navy from 1958 to 1962 aboard the USS Remey Destroyer Escort. Mr. Cormier had attended the Ramapo College in the early 1970s, and had worked as an Iron Worker for the City of New York during the construction of the World Trade Center. Ronald also worked as a Welder and Fabricator for Dyna=Pac of Stanhope as well as Stairworld of Lafayette, in addition he was the Owner of Ron Cor Artistic Ironwork and Furniture of Byram Twp. for many years until his retirement.

​A parishioner of the Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church Sparta, Ronald was a member of the Knights of Columbus Sparta. Ronald served many years as aCoach for CYO Basketball, the Andover Arrows Football as well as the Hob Angler Little League of Byram Twp.

​Mr. Cormier is survived by his wife Barbara J. (Knobloch), his sons Michael J. And his wife Deanna of Oak Ridge, Jeffrey E. of Columbus Ohio, his daughter Jennifer and her husband Scott Borrillo of St. Augustine, FL. Also surviving are his brother Raymond and his wife Mary Cormier of Hamden Maine and his cherished grandson Nicolas S. Borrillo.

​A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday June 12, 2012 at 10:00 AM in the Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church Sparta, NJ. Interment will follow in the Stanhope Union Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday June 11th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM in the Iliff-Ruggiero Funeral Home #156 Main St. Newton, NJ.
