Conrad, Fred age 76 of Montague, NJ died suddenly Sunday August 7, 2016 at the Bon Secours Medical Center Port Jervis, NY. Born in Somerville, NJ he had lived many years in West Virginia and Lafayette Twp., NJ before moving to Montague seven months ago.

Son of the late William W. and Elsie (Klim) Conrad Sr., Fred had worked for Limecrest Corp., as well as being a Vegetable Farmer in Lafayette Twp. for many years. An avid hunter, he always enjoyed hunting with his “coon dogs”, as well as bowling at the Sparta Lanes. Fred also enjoyed playing cards and was an ardent “Mets” fan. A baseball card collector, his true passion was farming.

A member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church, Newton, Mr. Conrad was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend. Fred was predeceased in life by his brothers William W. Jr., Harry F. and Daniel as well as a sister Amelia Malone.

Survivors include his beloved wife Joy J. (Kampka), his son Fred Jr. of Wantage Twp., his daughters Debra and her husband Robert Rumsey of Port Jervis, NY and Roxane M. and her husband Cono Aromando of Sandyston Twp. Also surviving are his brother John E. and his wife Joanne of Frankford Twp., Michael L. of Pennsylvania, Robert D. and his wife Penny of Kingsley, PA, Roger of NY, NY, His sisters Joan and her husband William Phillips of Lafayette Twp., and Lois Plough of Pennsylvania. Fred is also survived by his ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

There will be a memorial visitation Friday August 12, 2016 from 2-4 PM in the Iliff-Ruggiero Funeral Home #156 main St. (Rt. 206) Newton. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Joy Conrad.
