Collaso, Peter Charles age 56 of Fredon Twp., NJ died Tuesday July 16th, 2013 at the Newton Medical Center. Born in Dayton Ohio, Peter grew up in Brooklyn, and had lived in St. Johns Jamaica Estates Queens, NY for many years. He has lived in Fredon Twp. for the past three years.

A graduate of the Power of Memorial High School NY, NY he later received his BA from the St. Johns University. Peter later went on to complete his Masters Degree in Language Arts and Literature from the University of Salamanca Spain in 1984. A parishioner of the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church Newton, Peter was also a 4th Degree Knight with the Don Bosco Council #7784.

Mr. Collaso enjoyed his work as a Sales Representative for the Telecommunications Market through Staples of Hampton. A loving and devoted father, son and brother, Peter also enjoyed traveling. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his Daughter Faith Charity Collaso of Denton, TX, his parents Peter Theodore and Charlotte deLyra Collaso of Greentown, PA, his Brothers Joseph of Long Island and David Christopher of Short Hills and Paul Michael of San Francisco, CA, his sisters Jane Carol of Lambertville and Mary Charlotte Collaso of Staten Island, NY. Peter is also survived by many extended family members in the Tri State area as well as Portugal.

A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday July 20, 2013 at 10:00 AM in the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church Newton, NJ. Interment in the family plot in Rhode Island will be held at the convenience of the family. Visitation will be held Friday July 19th from 7-9 PM in the Iliff Ruggiero Funeral Home, 156 Main Street, Newton, N.J. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society www.cancer.org.
