Cline, Robert J.
Cline, Robert John age 78 of Frankford Twp., NJ passed away Sunday January 22, 2017 at the Barn Hill Care Center following a long illness. Born in Manhattan, NY Robert grew up in Astoria Queens. He had lived in Wayne and Morris Plains before moving to Frankford Twp. forty five years ago.
Son of the late Harry Robert and Stella (Waszkiewicz) Cline, he was a second generation owner operator of the family business United Showcase, a commercial food service equipment company. The company was founded in New York City and later moved to Moonachie where Robert retired in 2010.
An adoring husband and loving father, Robert enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, boating and snowmobiling. He was a hardworking man who liked working on his house especially outside yardwork. An automobile enthusiast, Mr. Cline will truly be missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his beloved wife Doris (Jordan) Cline, his son Robert J. and his wife Kathy, his daughter Sharon L. and her husband Bob McDonnell, his grandchildren Matthew and Bobby McDonnell, Zach and Alex Cline and Brittany Larson, as well as his great grandson Cole Larson. Also surviving are his sisters Julia Bosshardt and Virginia Canoura.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday January 28, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the Iliff-Ruggiero Funeral Home #156 Main St. Newton, NJ. Visitation will be at the funeral home Friday January 27th from 4 to 8 PM. In lieu of flowers memorials in Robert’s memory may be made to the Leukemia Foundation www.lls.org.
