Chrustic, Anna age 83 of Green Twp., NJ died Sunday December 9th, 2012 at her home. Born in Porubka, Republic of Slovakia, Anna came to the United States in 1946. She had resided in Jersey City and Piscataway for many years before moving to Green Twp in 2005.
Daughter of the late George and Anna (Andrus) Mitro Mrs. Chrustic was a seamstress and a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sibling and friend. She was a former parishioner of the St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church Highland Park, NJ. Anna enjoyed cooking, gardening and spending time with her loving family.
Anna was pre deceased by her beloved husband Jan Chrustic in 1996 as well as her brother George Mitro and her sister Mary Mitro. Survivors include her sons John of Bound Brook, NJ and Thomas and his wife Erica Chrustic of Green Twp. Also surviving are her daughter Grace and her husband the Honorable Sam Carroll of Abilene, TX, her six grandchildren and 2 great granddaughters.
Funeral services will be held Thursday December 13th, 2012 at 10:00 AM in the Iliff-Ruggiero Funeral Home #156 Main St. (Rt. 206) Newton, NJ. Interment will immediately follow in the Holy Cross Cemetery North Arlington, NJ. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Emily from the Karen Ann Quinlan Center of Hope Hospice and Stephanie from the VNA of St. Clare’s Hospital as well as the many other caregivers for their extraordinary care of Anna throughout this difficult time.
