Cardone, James W.
Cardone, James W. age 67 of Frankford Twp., NJ died Thursday September 20, 2012. Born and raised in Clifton, NJ, he had resided there for many years prior to moving to Sussex County in 2004.
Son of the late Jean and Anthony Cardone, James was a graduate of the Clifton High School Class of 1963 and later graduated from Montclair State University, receiving his B.A. in Spanish Education. Mr. Cardone had worked 25 years as a Sr. Pharmacist Technician with St. Mary’s Hospital in Passaic, retiring in 2004.
An avid sports fan, James remained loyal to his alma mater football team, the Clifton Mustangs, as well as the Clifton Phillies Semi-Pro baseball team. He was a devoted parishioner and usher of St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church of Clifton and Our Lady Queen of Peace Roman Catholic Church of Branchville.
Survivors include his daughters, Angelica J. Cardone and Danielle A. Sollitto, his grandchildren, Alexandra B. and Anthony F. Sollitto, as well as his ex-wife, Barbara J. Wright.
A memorial Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday Sept 27, 2012 at 9:00 AM in Our Lady Queen of Peace Roman Catholic Church on Rt. 206 Branchville, NJ. Interment of cremains will immediately follow in the St. Nicholas Cemetery of Lodi, NJ. Arrangements are under the direction of the Iliff-Ruggiero Funeral Home #156 Main St. (Rt. 206) Newton, NJ.
