Bodner, Lori
Bodner, Lori age 60 of Hackettstown, NJ passed away suddenly following a brief illness Friday February 10, 2017 at the Morristown Medical Center. Born and raised in Newton, she has lived in Hackettstown for many years.
A graduate of the Newton High School class of 1974, Lori earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Miami Florida. She began her career working as a summer school and substitute teacher followed by working for the NJ Herald as a reporter. For the past thirty years, Lori has enjoyed her work as a computer programmer with Selective Insurance of Branchville.
With an ear for all kinds of music, she enjoyed playing the piano. She enjoyed learning, traveling and anything related to history. Lori will truly be missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
Ms. Bodner was pre deceased by her father Edward P. in 2012. Survivors include her loving mother Jean M. (Shafer) of Newton, her brother Gary of Andover, her beloved friend of many years Martin Winkler of Chester as well as her cherished pet cat “Louis” ie Armstrong.
A memorial visitation will be held Friday February 17, 2017 from 7-9 PM in the Iliff-Ruggiero Funeral Home #156 Main St. Newton, NJ. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Father John’s Animal House www.fatherjohnsanimalhouse.org.
