Begley, Maureen
Maureen Begley, age 77 of Hampton Twp., passed away on Friday, July 25th, 2014 at home, following a long illness.
Daughter of the late Jerimiah and Mary (Higgins) Callaghan, Maureen was born in the Bronx, NY, where she grew up before moving to Caldwell, NJ, then Annapolis, and Ocean City, MD.
A devoted mother and homemaker, Maureen was a parishioner of St. John Neumann in Berlin, MD and a past member of the Essex County Republican Committee. She was also an avid reader of murder mysteries.
Predeceased by her husband Gerald in 2008, Maureen is survived by her two sons Kevin and his wife Dawn Burlace and Brian and his wife Stephanie Burlace, and her three daughters Colleen Burlace, Marianne and Anthony Luconi, and Carolyn and Robert Carey, as well as her sixteen adoring grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial mass for Maureen will be held at St. Aloysius RC Church 219 Bloomfield Ave, Caldwell, NJ 07006 on Wednesday, July 30th, 2014 at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice, 99 Sparta Ave, Newton, NJ 07860.
