Bederka, Kelsey P.
Bederka, Kelsey age 16 of Lake Lenape Section of Andover Twp., passed away Sunday October 1, 2017. Born in Newton, she has been a lifelong resident of Andover Twp. A third year student at Newton High School, Kelsey was a Varsity member of the Ski Team. Her dedication to the school German Club had her looking forward to the class trip to Germany in June 2018 as well as receiving an exchange student in two weeks. A solid academic student, Kelsey was a Lifeguard and a member of the Lake Lenape Association. In addition to being active in the “Lake Squad”, she also volunteered for various Animal Rescue groups throughout the area.
Kelsey was pre deceased by her Maternal Grandmother Natalie Griffin and an Uncle Jason Bederka. Survivors include her loving parents Jim and Paige (Griffin) Bederka, her sister Megan Bederka, her Paternal Grandfather James Bederka and his wife Frances Griffith, her Paternal Grandmother Ramona and her husband Bob Auriemma, her Maternal Grandfather Gerald Griffin as well as many Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.
Funeral Services will be held Friday October 6, 2017 at 10AM in the Iliff-Ruggiero Funeral Home #156 Main St. (Rt. 206) Newton, NJ. Visitation will be held in the Funeral Home Thursday October 5th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. In lieu of flowers memorials in Kelsey’s memory may be made to either the Lake Lenape Scholarship Fund C/O Peggy Widgren #31 Penn Ave. Newton, NJ or The Center for Prevention and Counseling #61 Spring St. Newton, NJ 07860.
