Armellino, Richard M. age 68 of Dingmans Ferry, PA passed away unexpectedly Saturday October 12, 2019 at the Lehigh Valley Hospital Pocono Campus. Born in Williamsburg Brooklyn, NY he grew up in Canarsie. Richard has resided in Pennsylvania since 2016.
Son of the late Anthony and Mary (nee Croccia) Armellino, Richard was a graduate of the Nazareth Regional High School Brooklyn, NY and later earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business from the Baruch College New York City. A talented Baseball and Football player, Richard was the Pitcher for the Italian National Team in 1971 and 1972. He began his baseball days playing in Kings Bay Brooklyn, NY. A true team player he was also an ardent NY Yankees and NY Giants fan.
Richard had a long and satisfying career as a Program Manager for Lockheed-Martin Aerospace Corporation, traveling all over the world before his retirement. Survivors include his beloved wife Annette (nee DeGaetano) Armellino, his brothers Anthony and his wife Karen and Ronald and his wife Jane, and his sister Michele and her husband Ed Boscaino. Also surviving are his loving daughter Angela Armellino, his loving son Michael Armellino as well as his granddaughter Gia Armellino, his brother in law and Mark and his wife Elisa DeGaetano and his many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Richard will be missed by all who knew and loved hm.
Visitation will be held Friday October 18, 2019 from 4-8 PM with Funeral Services Saturday Morning October 19, 2019 at 9:00 AM in the Iliff-Ruggiero Funeral Home #156 Main St. (Rt. 206) Newton, NJ. Interment will be Saturday at 11:30 AM in the Linden Hill Methodist Cemetery #323 Woodward Ave. Ridgewood, NY 11385. Memorials contributions in Richard’s memory may be made to the Pike County Humane Society P.O. Box 255 Milford PA 18337
