Alfred W. Pelikan
Alfred W. Pelikan, 81, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2021 at Newton Medical Center, Newton NJ.
Born in Passaic, NJ Alfred grew up in Garfield, NJ. He graduated Garfield High School in 1958. After graduation he worked at Bendix Flight Systems in Teterboro, NJ until his retirement. He was a collector of sports memorabilia and an avid Cincinnati Reds & New York Giants fan.
He is survived by his wife Tina (Kucharski), with whom they celebrated their 60th anniversary on August 12th of this year. Also surviving are his sons Brian & his wife Sharon (Simone) of Garfield, NJ, Gary & his wife Diana (Hard), of Newton, NJ. His brother Ronald & his wife Theresa (Tofilski) of Saddle Brook, NJ. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren (Marisa Pelikan of Glassboro, NJ, Jessica Genier of Newton, NJ & Keith Barrows of North Walpole, NH and 4 great-grandchildren.
A funeral mass will be offered at St. Francis De Sales Church, 125 Union Street, Lodi, NJ 07643 on Saturday October 23, 2021 at 10:00am. Interment of ashes will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery, 224 Westminster Place, Saddle Brook, NJ 07663 following the mass.
