Here are some special memories shared by family and friends.
Brian was a wonderful friend to me during our HS Years together. We had many wonderful times driving around with Jeanne in his station wagon. He wil be missed. My Heart and Prayers go out to his family. May Peace be with you.

When I think of Brian my first thought goes back to our childhood days. For five years from age eight to twelve, Brian and I played together in Little League Baseball for White Meadow Petroleum. Before the days when parents drove their kids to the games, we walked. So, there were many days when Brian and I would walk together through the town of Rockaway down to Lincoln Field proudly wearing our grey flannel/wool uniforms with the marroon W patch on our left chest. He was our catcher back in those days and I pitched and together we were a pretty good tandem. We won quite a few championships during those five years. Many years later on December 5, 1975 sitting in a locker room in Morris Hills, I walked over to Brian who happened to be pulling his jersey #75 over his shoulder pads and I told him to hit someone for me, knowing I would not see much action on the field. With his great smile and a wink, he told me he would. That day forever connected Brian in Morris Hills Football history. His smile and his warm heart will always be missed. Rest In Peace Our Brother.

To the family of Brian, Jim and I have only known Brian for a short time, but in that short time we have shared some great memories. We would like to extend our deepest sympathy to your family at this time. Brian may be gone from our physical lives but will remain in our heart forever. If there is anything we can do to help ease your pain, please let Shane know and he can let us know. Jim and Tina McGrath

Growing up in Rockaway, everyone knew everyone. Whether it was through town recreation, school, church, Parks Lake there was a connection. The difference with Brian is you had an instant friend. In HS, I remember Brian fondly being called Tiny. He could always make you laugh. I expecially remember Brian and Paul singing the Oscar Mayer bologna song.I would laugh so hard and say sing it again, just to laugh again. My prayers and thought go out to his family.

Brian will always be remembered as the "Gentle Giant" in the Duncan Lane, Chester Ave, Adams St. neighborhood. A kind soul who always looked at the positive in everyone's path he crossed. Even when we made mistakes (or better known as wrong teenage choices), Brian would be there with reassuring words that "This too shall pass!" My thoughts and prayers are with the family as everyone grieves during this difficult time.
