Ervey, Anna T.

Ervey, Anna T. age 97 of Fredon Twp., NJ died peacefully at the Barn Hill Care Center Newton, NJ Friday February 26th, 2010. Born in Newark, NJ she grew up on the family farm in Denville before moving to Dover where she lived for many years. Mrs. Ervey had also resided in Lake Mohawk in the 1960’s and retired to Sun City, AZ where she had lived until 1999 when she came to Sussex County. Daughter of the late John and Mary (Shandel) Treier, Anna was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a founding and former member of the New Hope Community Nazarene Church in Denville, NJ, and avid baseball fan who enjoyed bowling, baking and cooking. Pre deceased by her husband Reginald F. Ervey in 1998, she is survived by her sons Robert R. of Brewster, Mass, Richard J. of Sun City, AZ and Roger W. of Fredon Twp, NJ, also survived by her nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Funeral arrangements are private, and under the direction of Iliff-Ruggiero Funeral Home 156 Main St. (Rt. 206), Newton, NJ.

Here are some special memories shared by family and friends.
Anna was always a special lady. She never complained about anything and always had a smile on her face. She always had a good word for everyone. She was a fine example to us all. It was a privilege and honor to have taken care of her. Over the past few years, she has been my friend, and I will remember her fondly.
