Your Florida Family was saddened of hearing the loss of a loving Sister-in-Law, Aunt, and Great Aunt. I want everyone to know Marie was my first girlfriend and introduced me to my husband John, Joe's twin brother. There will always be fond memories of our times together. When we were younger we did some silly things. Marie, Joe and I had a wonderful time spending a week at the ocean in Florida at Ormond Beach, but only Marie would go to the beach and spend the entire week watching TV. Marie had a great time as it did not take much to please her. Marie always had a good sense of humor, never saying a bad word about anyone, and her family was very important to her. Easy going Marie, always giving and never expecting anything in return. She always had a good sense of money - just spend it and worry about it later. Even though there was so many miles between us you were never far from our thoughts. May God keep you in his loving arms. Our prayers and thoughts are with the family. We know God has his loving arms around you. Much love, Aunt Eleanor and Family

Mom, you always kept us moving. There was never a dull momment. Here is what a typical Samuels get away was like. The packing of the car would start the previous night. This would sometimes last well into the night. Of course if the weather man predicted rain for the entire weekend this could easily be overturned by Mom asking Victor if he thought it was going to rain, of course Victor never predicted rain so this was really just a formality. Well the car was packed so tightly by Dad that you would need to use a micrometer to measure any void left in the car. Of course the previous nights work would all be for nothing because we still never got on the road until the afternoon. And when all was ready off to the car we would go. And of course from the front door to the car Mom would run into one of her friends who would delay us by chatting up a storm. Well finally in the car on the way to the country, fooled ya really on the way to aunt Kay's. Of course this means packing some more stuff in the Bronx ,and oh yes the infamous cup of coffee that as a child would send a shiver down my spine because it just meant more delays. Well the second cup of coffee would be consumed and off we would go. As there were now more people in the car my place was now in the back of the station wagon. In order to fit into the tight space Dad left for me, a little axle grease would have to be applied to my lower half. Off we go!!! Of course being in the back of the wagon, hanging half way out the window ,I was always privy to the sheer terror of how over packed the car was!!! The slightest bump in the road,or the smallest pot hole would send a rooster tail of sparks shooting into the car behind us. Anyway we of course would stop somewhere to eat, and most times would be setting up the tent by headlight from the car. Well Mom after the funeral we sat down to a good meal and told lots of great stories, stories that without you would have never happened. Mom you opened your heart and your front door to all ,you truly are a great woman. Love you always Joseph!!!!!

Dearest Ma and whole Samuels Family, It's your little Pickadoo, Tod. It breaks my heart to know my second mom has left this world but I know that Heaven is celebrating. I have such fond memories of you, Buddy, Victor, Joseph (Jo-fuf was all I could say), Doreen and my constant companion Matt. We all had so much fun. I remember the apartment building in New York where you took care of me when my mom worked. I loved the farm in New Jersey. What a perfect wonderland for a young boy. Ma, you filled me with so much love and confidence. Victor and Joseph took me on great camping adventures. I too recall getting stuffed into the great station wagon, that Buddy usually stayed up half the night repairing and Ma worrying about it breaking down. I remember catching catfish is the swampy pond. Playing GI Joe's everywhere. I remember camping out in a teepee and all the wild stories you told me. Joseph: I will always remember when we played football, you sent me for a big pass and I slipped and landed right in a cowpie. Ma and the whole Samuels Family. I cannot thank you enough for all the love you poured into me that I will never forget and that shaped me more than you know. Ma: I love you always and forever. I will see you one day in Heaven. Love, Your pickadoo - Tod
