Donald T. Daley Jr.

Daley, Donald T. Jr. age 45 of Green Twp., NJ died peacefully at his home with his loving family by his side Tuesday June 16th, 2009 following a long illness. Born and raised in Kearny he had lived there many years before moving to Green Twp. fifteen years ago. A 1982 graduate of the Kearny High School, Donald Joined the US Army and served from 1982 to 1984 when he was honorably discharged with the rank of SP4. A Service Dispatcher for PSE&G of Secaucus, NJ for twenty years, Donald was also a member of the IBEW Local 94 also of Secaucus. A long time parishioner of the Good Shepherd Roman Catholic Church Andover, He loved flying and had his pilot’s license. Mr. Daley was an avid fisherman and enjoyed riding his ATV’s with his sons. Another talent of Donald’s was preaching the gospel of “Vitamin D” to all the young bucks at the Greeks in Andover.Pre deceased by his father Donald T. Daley Sr. in 1990 he is survived by his loving wife Mary (Killian) Daley, his sons Michael P. and Jimmy both at home, his cherished mother Kathleen (Gallagher) Daley of Green Twp., his loving Sisters Donna and husband Patrick Scudilla of Green Twp., and Jennifer Daley of Middletown, CT, his beloved brother Steven and wife Lauren Daley of Vernon Twp., as well as many nieces and nephews.  Funeral Mass of Christian Burial for Donald will be held Saturday June 20th, 2009 at 11:00 AM in the Good Shepherd RC Church Rt. 517 Andover, NJ. Interment will immediately follow in the Church Cemetery Green Twp. Visitation will be held at the Iliff-Ruggiero Funeral Home, 156 Main Street (Route 206) Newton on Friday June 19th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to either Care Alternatives Hospice 70 Jackson Dr # 200 Cranford, NJ 07016 www.carealt.com, or Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center 1275 York Avenue New York, NY 10065 www.mskcc.org .

I will never forget the proud man who would ride around the neighborhood with a baby boy in the car carrier on his lawn tractor , just to show him off to all who would say hi.I'll remember, recent days of you tearing up the woods on your quad behind the house with Jimmy who was so excited.You were a great dad! I hope they have something good to ride in heaven!!
