Ursula Schiffner

Schiffner, Ursula age 83 of Newton died Friday January 22nd, 2010. Born in Germany, she came to the United States in 1950 and had lived in New York City and Paramus for many years before moving to Newton ten years ago. A homemaker, Ursula was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to many. Mrs. Schiffner’s warm and friendly personality as well as her passion for making friends and telling jokes and funny stories will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She was a regular Sussex County Senior Shuttle passenger and enjoyed her friendships with all of the members of the Newton Police Dept. Pre deceased by her husband Ted Schiffner in 1998, Ursula is survived by her Son and daughter, 3 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren. In lieu of flowers memorials in Ursula’s memory may be made to Newton Volunteer Fire Dept.  #39 Trinity St.  Newton, NJ 07860. Private Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of the Iliff-Ruggiero Funeral Home 156 Main St. (Rt. 206) Newton, NJ. Ursula lit up a room when she entered it with her quick wit, vibrant personality and her generous and loving spirit. There will never be another Ursula. I am proud to say I was her friend and will miss her dearly
