| Marcus Utter Marcus A. Utter, age 93 of Lafayette, NJ died Thursday evening Nov. 20th, 2008 peacefully at his home. Born in Hainesville, NJ Marcus had lived there and in Walpack, NJ before moving to Lafayette many years ago. Son of the late Marcus and Mary (Siegler) Utter, he was the 13th of their 15 children. For nearly 65 years he was the proud owner and operator of the Utter Dairy Farm on Beaver Run Road in Lafayette. He continued to operate the farm until very recently. He was a long time member of the New Jersey Farm Bureau as well as the New Jersey Agricultural Society. Mr. Utter was a devoted and dedicated husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend to all who knew and loved him. Survivors include his beloved wife of nearly seventy-five years, Hilda M. (Spencer) Utter, daughters Sally Ann and husband Rev. Robert L. Schmidt of Norristown, PA, Shirley M. and husband Laurence Welch of Schwenksville, PA and Catherine M. Clink of Lafayette. Marcus is also survived by his five cherished grandchildren, one great granddaughter, and a brother, Russell Utter of Branchville, NJ. Funeral services will be held Tuesday November 24th, 2008 at 10:00 AM in the Iliff-Ruggiero Funeral Home 156 Main St. (Rt. 206) Newton, NJ. Interment will immediately follow in the Hainesville Cemetery, Hainesville, NJ. Visitation will be Monday Nov. 23rd at the funeral home from 2-4 and 7 to 9 PM.
