Vince was so kind to my tiger scouts almost 10 years ago. May God comfort his family now. His voice may be silent but not our memory of him. RUTH |

Oh my gosh!
I do not really know how to express my appreciation of this wonderful man.
Vince was so appreciated and liked by
our students from Glen Meadow Middle School in Vernon.
He so supported the pop-tab program called "Poptabs for Jesse and Friends" that began maybe 1999? Jesse had cystic fibrosis and needed kindness and attention. Vince honored and valued Jesse and really gave him such a sense of purpose. Jesse was in 7th grade at the beginning of this project.
The Pop-tab program collected pop-tabs and recycled them for charity. Vince welcomed us until I retired in 2005.He allowed Jesse to be interviewed and speak on live radio several times. Jesse was like a "regular" at the station! The program still exists. Jesse must be 19 or 20 years old now. When I retired in 2005, we had collected over 6 million pop-tabs! Over $6,000.00 had been raised for sick and less fortunate children.
Vince and the 2 Steves were Jesse's best buddies.
Vince was always so kind and giving and flexible with the children and Jesse that would visit WSUS.
Vince was a very gentle spirit. Jesse will never forget him and nor will I.
Most Sincerely,
Connie Podorf, Vernon Teacher

I am in complete shock. My heart aches. I went to grammar school with Vincent and grew up with him in Jersey City. How sad. Carolyn McGeehan (Kley) |
