Nancy Ellen Siegel

Siegel, Nancy Ellen (Flood) age 65 of Andover Twp., NJ passed away Friday September 25th, 2009 at the Morristown Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. Born in Mineola, NY and raised in Manchester, VT, she had resided in Green Twp., NJ for 35 years before moving to Andover Twp. in 2007.

Daughter of the late John and Dorothy (Miller) Flood, she was a graduate of the Franconia College receiving her Associates Degree. A dedicated Teacher’s Aid, Nancy had worked with the Green Twp., and later the Lenape Valley Board of Education until her retirement after twenty-three years of service. Nancy enjoyed the peace and serenity of spending time at Long Beach Island and the Barnegat Lighthouse, especially fishing and watching the boats. A thirty plus year member of the Yellow Frame Presbyterian Church in Fredon Twp., Nancy was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sibling and friend.

Survivors include her husband Richard W., whom on December 9th would have celebrated their forty-year anniversary. Her son Michael and wife Leigh Siegel of Green Twp., her daughter Missy Siegel and boyfriend Ralph A. Seagrave, Jr. of Mt. Olive, her Grandsons Joshua and Matthew Siegel, her brother Bob and wife Linda Flood of Las Vegas, NV, as well as her Cousin/Sister Ellen Tolmie of Boulder, CO.

Visitation will be held Thursday Oct. 1st from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Iliff-Ruggiero Funeral Home, 156 Main St. (Rt. 206), Newton, NJ 07860. Funeral services will be held Friday Oct. 2, 2009 at 11:00 AM in the Yellow Frame Presbyterian Church, Rt. 94, Fredon Twp., NJ. Interment will immediately follow in the Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Nancy’s memory may be made to the Myelodysplastic Syndromes (MDS) Foundation (PO Box 353, Crosswicks, NJ 08515) or Yellow Frame Presbyterian Church (1 Yellow Frame Road, Newton, NJ 07860).
