| Dimitrios J. Savopoulos Savopoulos, Dimitrios J. age 78 of Branchville, NJ and Athens Greece, died Tuesday January 26th, 2010 in the Newton Memorial Hospital. Born in Russia, Dimitrios grew up in Greece and came to the United States in 1969 settling in West Orange, NJ. After his retirement in 2001 Mr. Savopoulos moved back to Greece until December when moving to Branchville, NJ. Son of the late John and Elizabeth (Saridou) Savopoulos, Dimitrios was pre deceased by his wife Maria (Rizopoulos) in 1981. Survivors include his son John of Branchville, his daughter Elizabeth Melachrinos of Branchville, his brother George, his sisters Maria, Sophia and Despina all of Greece. Also surviving are his four grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held Friday January 29th, 2010 at 10:00 AM in the St. Andrews Greek Orthodox Church Randolph, NJ. Interment will follow in the Rosedale Cemetery West Orange, NJ. Visitation will be held in the Iliff-Ruggiero Funeral Home 156 Main St. (Rt. 206) Newton, NJ Thursday evening Jan. 28th, 2010 from 7 to 9 PM.
