Elizabeth A. Raymond

Raymond, Elizabeth A. age 90 of Andover Twp., NJ entered eternal life peacefully surrounded by her family Wednesday August 5th, 2009 at the Morristown Memorial Hospital following a long illness. Born in Throop, PA she had resided in Dunmore, PA before moving to Orange, NJ in 1941. In 1998 Elizabeth moved to Andover Twp., NJ. Daughter of the late Thomas and Elizabeth (Owens) Flynn, she had worked many years as well as during WWII as a factory worker for the Metal Textile Co., of Orange, NJ. During her employment, she met her husband the Late Joseph J. Raymond.  After retirement in 1945, Mrs. Raymond was a dedicated and loving homemaker, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. A long time volunteer for the Election Polling Stations of Orange, NJ, Elizabeth also enjoyed ceramics, gardening as well as vacations in Hazelton, PA with all her grandchildren. Pre deceased by her Husband Joseph J. in 1979, as well as her seven siblings, Elizabeth is survived by her daughters Elizabeth A. and husband Jay Laufer of Denville, Ann E. and husband Mel Dennison of Andover Borough, Joan Guerrieri of Andover Twp., and Gail S. and husband James Healy of West Caldwell. She is also survived by her ten grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and one great great grandson.  A Funeral Mass of Christian burial will be held Monday August 10th, 2009 at 10:00 AM in St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church Halstead Street Newton, NJ. Interment will follow in the Gate of Heaven RC Cemetery East Hanover, NJ.  Visitation will be held at the Iliff-Ruggiero Funeral Home, 156 Main Street (Route 206) Newton, NJ  Sunday August 9th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Elizabeth’s memory may be made to a charity of choice.
